"Seminar on Labour & Management Relationship and Productivity" was jointly held by JILAF and Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU), 7-10 September, 2010 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia with 32 participants.
This seminar is one of pilot projects aimed at making the material for the new package program on productivity which JILAF has been prepared for almost one year. The program aims that the participant gains more understanding on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Productivity Movement & "5S" and skills of Collective Bargaining and is to foster trainers of this program with targeting union members at workplaces. However, as the initiation of the project, this seminar is targeted to the leaders of industrial and regional trade unions and the person who is in charge of productivity or related issues at national center of the trade union, who have responsibility to select participants for seminars in order to understand our productivity seminar.
In the seminar, the session on 1) CSR and international standards, 2) The concept of Productivity Movement in Japan and its experience, 3) "5S Patrol" and making proposals to the management which mentioned the points to be improved at the plant by the participant, 4)the mock collective bargaining session was implemented. The participant made comments as "I would like to organize a seminar for introducing productivity at my workplace."
