Local RENGO Program
A two-day program is implemented with the cooperation of a Local RENGO. Participants hold discussions with leaders to enable them to learn the activities and role of Local RENGO. They also visit the local government to hear about the cooperative relations between the Local RENGO and local administration and visit a plant for discussions with workplace union leaders, thereby strengthening mutual understanding and solidarity with related persons. In addition, participants are given an opportunity to see an ordinary lifestyle of people in Japan by visiting the home of a working family. In FY 2008 visits to a "Hello Work" (public employment security office) and to "Rokin" (Labour Banks) and "Zenrosai" (National Federation of Workers and Consumers Insurance Cooperatives) were newly added to the program.
