OUR PROJECTS

JILAF Philosophy

  • Based on the "construction of constructive industrial relations" through dialogue, JILAF strongly promotes the development of each worker, their families, local communities, and the economy and society of the respective country.
  • JILAF promotes the improvement of skills and opens the way for workers to support society through "working" while realizing their own growth.
  • JILAF shares the importance of learning and lights a solid "beacon of hope" for children's futures.
  • JILAF continues to walk together with fellow workers around the world.

"Labour Related Development" and "Grassroots Support" resonate with each other, creating infinite possibilities.

Established by RENGO in 1989, the Japan International Labour Foundation (JILAF) is an NGO/NPO that promotes international exchange and cooperation in the field of labor. We contribute to the strengthening and development of labor movements and sound socio-economic development in various countries, as well as the promotion of friendly relations with them.

Labour Related Development

Through the implementation of "Invitation Programs" and "Labour Related Seminars," we aim to realize Decent Work and promote free and democratic labor movements in developing countries.

Social Development Activities

We support socially vulnerable people through "SGRA" (Supporting Grass-Roots Activities), which builds social safety nets at the grassroots level, and "Bridge Schools," which provide basic education to children from poor families who cannot receive necessary education, aiming to integrate them into public schools as a measure against child labor.
